Grade I students welcomed their grandparents on 12 September for a special Grandparents' Day celebration centred on shared experiences, stories and time spent together.
The children expressed their affection through short speeches, handmade cards and dance performances, while the grandparents added a personal dimension to the programme by sharing stories and memories from their own childhood.
One story explored the importance of friendship and healthy competition, showing how friends can encourage one another to do better. Another grandparent spoke to the children about practical life skills, including the importance of using mobile phones wisely and responsibly.
The celebration gave children an opportunity to listen to the experiences of an older generation, learn from their perspectives and strengthen the bond they share with their grandparents. |
