Samsara – The World Academy celebrated Shri Krishna Janmashtami on 2 September 2026 with a special assembly rooted in devotion and tradition presented by the students of Grades 3 to 5.
Through two skits, students brought episodes from the life of Lord Krishna to the stage. The first depicted Krishna subduing Kaliya Naag, conveying the triumph of good over evil, while the second portrayed the enduring friendship between Krishna and Sudama and the values that define a true friendship.
A group dance and devotional song added music and movement to the celebration. Students of Grade 5 also recited shlokas from the Bhagavad Gita, introducing the audience to the wisdom contained in Lord Krishna's teachings.
Concluding the assembly, Principal Dr. Shalini Prasad appreciated the efforts of the students and teachers and spoke about the relevance of Lord Krishna's teachings in everyday life.
The assembly gave students an opportunity to explore the stories, teachings and cultural traditions associated with Janmashtami through drama, music, dance and recitation. |
