BREAST CANCER
Our school, in association with Jaypee Hospital organised a seminar on ‘Breast Cancer’ on 9th August 2014.All the female staff of the school were a part of the seminar. The Seminar was conducted by Dr. Manju Gupta. She told about the prevailing scenario of the disease in our country and abroad. The symptoms and early signs of the cancer were also discussed. She also told about the steps for self examination and the importance of Mammography. The seminar was very helpful as it not only made us aware of the disease but also clarified many doubts related to the ailment.
 
WORKSHOP ON LEADERSHIP STYLES
On 5th August 2014, British Council has organised a workshop on leadership styles. Ms. Nilu Srivastav and Ms. Smruti Bhuyan from Samsara –The World Academy attended it. Workshop reflected on the difference between leading and managing The teacher understood the crucial aspect of leadership and management. The teacher will be able to identify and different style of leadership with the help of the key point of the workshop .It will us in effectively managing and leading  good practices in our school. 
CYBER SECURITY
Samsara world school ,  in association with I -3 India Technologies, organised a seminar for the teachers on cyber security on 2nd August 2014. The seminar was on the prevailing world of cyber crime. Through the seminar we learnt about various safe ways of surfing the net and how we can save ourselves from being a victim of the cyber crime. They also made the staff aware of legal procedures in case of victimisation .The seminar was truly helpful and an eye opener for all.
 
 
ANTRIKSH
An Antriksh education workshop was held in Samsara – The world academy on 25th July 2014 wherein students got to know about the Primary Astronomy club starting in the school in association with Antriksh Education Private Ltd. The workshop was a little glimpse of all the activities the students are going to do during the session.
 
 
CLASS ROOM MANAGEMENT
A very intellectual and informative workshop was organised in school on Classroom Management by Indira Educational Consultancy Services- a CBSE empanelled agency- headed by the team of a renowned educationalist Prof. B. L. Handoo. Many teachers from renowned schools of Greater Noida and Noida attended the workshop. The teachers had an enormous experience and opportunity to hear from the resource person. The idea of introducing AMP BOX( Active Mental Participation Box) in each and every class was applauded by all. The teachers of our school encapsulated the idea and are practising it in their respective classes.
 
 
OVERSEAS EDUCATION
The school organised an interactive session of STUDY ABROAD WORKSHOP for students of class  IX-XI.  They were spoken to in detail regarding the different formalities involved in applying and studying abroad . Children were also given an insight into different courses available in foreign universities and what are the career prospects of an International Education. It was a great learning experience for them and a threshold of their future perspective.
 
 
LEARNING IS AN ONGOING PROCESS
It is true that success of the educational process depends on the quality, commitment and expertise of the teachers. Keeping this in mind, and as an ongoing process, our school is arranging a wide range of exhaustive workshops for teachers, on various issues.
On 6th and 8th January,2014, an interactive session with Ms. Kumud Sharma, an occupational therapist, and a renowned counsellor, has been arranged to discuss and understand the special needs of the children. She explained the need of CLASS ROOM MANAGEMENT and to establish the calm structured learning environment for the children with special needs.
 
Origami Workshop
Samsara World School had organized a creative workshop on Origami. Ms. Vasudha Mehata who is associated with The Japan Embassy taught our inquisitive primary students the art of Origami. She shared basic terminology which is used in origami and talked about the culture of apan where Origami is practiced. She taught the children to make paper baskets and lovely bows. All the children enthusiastically participated in the workshop.
 
 
Teachers' Workshop by Ms. Shivangi Choudharyrigami Workshop
Samsara has always welcomed parent's active participation in the education system. This time it was a workshop on 'Different Creative Methods of Classroom Teaching' which was held for the teachers of primary level by Ms. Shivangi Choudhary, one of our active parents. It was an interesting workshop where she shared various activities and methods which can be used to teach the students. The teachers took active part in it and also shared their teaching methods with her. All in all it was a participative and learning experience for the teachers.
 
Teachers' Resource Support
We are grateful to Ms Vinodini Garg, one of our parents, for her great support in providing the audio visual resources for Grade One.
 
Guest Lecture
A guest lecture programme was organised by our school on 21st August,2013.  The resource person was MS.GEETA RAMASHESH, a noted personality from ART FRATERNITY. The programme commenced with welcome address by Sruchi, student of class VIII. The guest explained the students about the various forms of art specially the Visual Art. The focus of the event was visualization of thoughts in the form of art which adds to our all rounded development. The students found the session to be highly informative and useful.  The programme came to the end with the vote of thanks proposed by Principal, Captain Praveen Roy.

Creativity in education
The school has organised a workshop on Creativity in education, for the teachers, in collaboration with Hindustan Times.  The renowned educationalist from Hindustan Times explained the creative methods of teaching.  He guided the teachers about the four components of creativity- fluency, flexibility, originality and elaboration, that promotes social development, supports language and literacy and widen the thinking pattern.  The teachers shared their experiences and provided an insight of creative work done by the students in the class rooms.

Behaviour & Attitude.
The school conducted a workshop on 30th September, 2013 on Behaviour & Attitude.
The workshop was conducted in collaboration with The Hindustan Times. The expert Mr.Rajeev Narula presided over the workshop and guided the students on attitudes, moral values and life skills.  The students also discussed the problems faced by them.  The Principal thanked the guest and suggested students to follow the tips.

Little Fingers at Work
An art and craft workshop was conducted by Mr. Aroop Chaudhary for classes 1 and 2. Mr. Aroop taught them in a play way to create an octopus with the help of a disposable cup. All the students were deeply involved and excited to create a beautiful creature. It was an enjoyable experience for the students as they learnt that from a simple thing which is of daily use one can create so many beautiful articles.
