Maths Lab

"If you are able to solve the problems in Maths, then you are able to solve the problems in your life." Mathematics laboratory is a place where anybody can experiment and explore patterns and ideas. It is a place where one can find a collection of games puzzles and other teaching and learning material. The material is meant to be used both by the students on their own and with their teacher to explore the world of mathematics, to discover, to learn and to develop interest in mathematics. The activities create interest among students who want to explore, and test some of their ideas and beliefs about mathematics.
Samsara's mathematics Lab was inaugurated successfully on Feb 8th , 2017 by our Managing Director, Mr. Vikramjeet Singh Shastri and our Principal Capt. Praveen Roy. They cut the ribbon and opened the Math lab to the school students. Some of our great Indian Mathematicians like Aryabhatta, Ramanujan and Shakuntla Devi. Then we showcased our lab with our variety of Lab kits which were meant for juniors and seniors.
In junior section, we have abacus, skip counting, Ascending and Descending ladder, Integer tiles, 2-D and 3-D shapes, fraction Tower various informative charts and many more. In senior section, we have Ganitmala, magnetic disks, Cuisenaire strips, ring of theorems, Algebraic identities kits, geoboard, Pythagoras theorem, Models of Solid shapes etc.
Our Lab is a place to enjoy mathematics through informal exploration. It is a place where the child can generate problems and challenge themselves to get an answer. It is a place to explore and design new mathematics activities. So our lab is not to be used to assess students' knowledge of mathematics. We assess students' knowledge beyond the curriculum.
So our lab is a self explanatory lab wit activities in which students can come anytime(when they are free) and engage in the work, continue working on the problem and take teachers help as and when they feel the need.
