Showcase Summer Camp- 2015-16

Bringing it to a happy end!
Days just pass by so quickly and swiftly it feels as if we started just a day back with our fun filled and learning summer camp at Samsara! And now today is the day when we ready to bid goodbyes to our exceedingly energized participants of summer camp. A valedictory function was organized in order to exhibit what students have learnt during their summer camp.
School gave an option of choosing four different activities to each child from a pack of 19 activities. Students performed those chosen activities prodigiously on the stage. Invitees were our dear parents who came with lot of aspirations for their children.
Valedictory Function was started with dexterous performance of badminton by Pulkit Gupta, Abhinav Singh and Shubhi Goyal. Then was the demonstration of recreational activity called skating by Saheb Kaur and Samyukta Singh. Music has the power to change the ambience of any place hence it was a call for Hindustani vocal music, which the students learned under the professional guidance of Mrs. Neha Arvind. Aakhya Agnihotri, Pulkit Gupta and Shubhi Goyal presented some melodious tunes in different 'raagas'. After some light music it was time for some action in the house which was very well presented by Abhinav Singh and Chittresh Kaushik in the form of karate. It has become a necessity to be able to speak in from of an audience and in order to boost or hone this quality of a child, if presented; school also offered the option of public speaking. Avantika Jain, Plaksha Singh, Shubhi Goyal, Chittresh Kaushik, Pulkit Gupta, Janvi Singh, kshitij Yadav and Aryan Arora were the masters of ceremony. We believe in keeping our students abreast with all the possible aspects of life and fashion is one of those aspect which helps in making a person look pleasing and delightful to the eyes. Hence, we introduced our students with do-it-yourself jewellery at home with paper. Plaksha Singh, Samyukta Singh and Raagi Kumar showcased their creation by strutting on the stage. Learning to play a musical instrument requires concentration and creativity and these two traits were learned, while learing to play guitar, by Kshitij Yadav. He touched the strings of guitar and played tunes which were pleasant to the ears of the listeners. Technology’s importance is now known by everyone for this reason Aryan Arora chose learning computer and presented a stupendous PowerPoint presentation. Discipline and patience are two most important attributes that a novice learn while learning a classical dance form. Aakya Agnihotri and Raagi Kumar presented an astounding performance. Being a bilingual in this multi-lingual world is like an asset to a person’s personality. Plaksha Singh, Avantka Jain and Aaryan Arora learned French and German, respectively. Aaryan Arora recited a poem and introduced himself in German. Dance teaches you determination, dedication and organization which were learned by our little ones while learning western dance. Saheb Kaur, Plaksha Singh and Avantika Jain enthralled the audience with their silky and groovy moves.
Students who enrolled for ‘fun with math’, ‘clay molding’, ‘origami’ and ‘drawing and sketching’ put their artistic creativity on display in the corridors which were again praised to heaps by all the spectators.
The function came to end with the distribution of certificates and vote of thanks by Ms. Shweta Mukherjee. Light refreshments were served to all the patient audience who appreciated and relished the different performances given by our little ones.
