A seminar to educate and motivate the students about joining the Indian armed forces was organised at Samsara-The World Academy school for the students of class IX to XII on October 14, 2016. The students were educated about all the three services of the defence- Indian Army, Indian Air Force, and Indian Navy. The resource person informed the students about the salient features of the Army and also spoke about the challenging life, professionalism, unit ethos and other aspects of the defence services. Various facets of a career in defence and its determining factors such as aptitude and interest, life span of the career, commercial resources, availability of opportunities, academic potential and other aspects such as , required skills, age, medical conditions were explained through relevant examples. The session ended with the questions raised by the students. The workshop received huge appreciation from the participating students who urged on having such sessions at regular basis.
