The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award is the world's leading youth development programme. The Award Programme Foundation runs the International Award for Young People in India to promote the Award, provide young people with the Award Programme, and preserve the quality of the Award.

The mission of Samsara –The world Academy is to engage the young people in such activities which would develop them as committed global citizens, same is the motto and objective of this Award Programme . Coequally both of them want to equip them with life skills to empower them to succeed in life.

On 6th and 7th of November two facilitators Ms. Jagjeet Kaur and Ms Neha Agarwal were sent as emissary of Samsara, attended workshops conducted by the Award Programme Authorities in New Delhi, to further train Samsarians .The resource person Mr. Mukkhoti familiarized the participants with four levels of programme, benefits of being a part of each level and the rules to be followed.

During the culmination he further emphasized that Award Programme brings together practical experiences and skills together to facilitate the holistic development of children. The award is about experimental learning, through individual challenges.
The aim of education is to impel people into value forming experiences, to ensure the survival of those qualities: an enterprising curiosity, an undefeatable spirit, tenacity in pursuit , and above all, compassion.
