National Sports Day Celebration

Sports and games are an integral part of our life and have become a way of life for a healthy and fit India. Sports play a pivotal role in the makeup of a young athlete where the youth learns values like discipline, responsibility, self-confidence, sacrifice and accountability, and of course to remain fit.

National Sports Day is celebrated on the 29th of August every year. It marks the birth anniversary of hockey Legend Major Dhyan Chand who is regarded as the greatest hockey player of all time.

To mark the significance of the National Sports Day, Samsara - The World Academy organized activities to inculcate the feeling of true sportsmanship among the students and enhance their physical and social skills.
Aarzoo Garg of class 9B delivered a speech focusing on the benefits of different sports and how the aspiring youth's energy can be utilized in reconstructing the nation and its glory on the international front.
Principal, Capt. Praveen Roy also addressed the students highlighting the qualities of a true sportsman e.g a sense of togetherness, leadership skills, stamina, planning, patriotism, and teamwork.
