Sports day is one of the events that gives lots of opportunities to all the students to run, jump and play.
Our school, Samsara- The World Academy celebrated its Annual Sports Day- Synergia-2022 on the school ground in a frolicsome atmosphere on Saturday, 24 December, 2022 which brought the talents of students to the heights.
The illuminated dignitaries, Air Vice Marshal Anil Tiwari, VSM, AM, our Special Guest Ms. Bharti Singh IPS, Addl Commissioner of Police and Guest of Honour Mrs. Swarna Raj, a Para Olympic Table Tennis player, our revered Director, Mrs.Ketiki Singh Shastri , our respected Management member Dr. Ameena Amanat along with other dignitaries graced the occasion.
The event formally commenced with the lighting of the lamp followed by March Past by all the four houses of the school namely Aristotle, Beethoven , Shakespeare and Tagore.
The School Principal, Captain Praveen Roy administered the oath to all the participants. She along with other dignitaries , officially declared the Sports Meet Open by lighting the Victory lamp . Colorful balloons were released and pigeons were flown symbolizing the vibrant hopes of the students which were flying high.
The students displayed different asanas of yoga and aerobics. In addition to above, a high heel dance and various drills were also presented by the students who left the spectators spell bound.
Many sport events occurred on the day which were performed by the tiny - tots of Pre-primary and Primary Wing like tunnel race , balance race , chef race , collect the items etc.
The students from Class VI- XI participated in 100 mtr race, javelin throw , shot put , 100 mtr relay etc. The chief guest along with the management gave away the medals & certificates to the winners and the runners in the midst of clapping and rejoicing of the viewers.
The chief guest appreciated and congratulated the Samsara fraternity for putting in such a spectacular display of events.In addition to this, Shakespeare House was declared the best March Past Contingent . The day passed with lots of enthusiasm, passion & sportsmanship & culminated with the singing of the National Anthem.
