Exam and Study Skills

It is normal to feel a little nervous and stressed before exams. Many students suffer because of this, and it also affects their exam preparation and performance.

To address this issue and to help students to cope with it, Samsara -The World Academy, organized a counselling session on “Managing Exam Stress" for the students of class IX to XII on 2nd September, 2022, which was addressed by Ms. Megha Sarin,a clinical psychologist.

She told them the various ways to deal with exam stress. She explained the students that this skill is like just other skills. She cited an interesting example on how an individual can plan and prepare himself/herself before going for trekking to Mt.Everest.

She talked about how to manage this skill by handling and figuring out the reasons of procrastination and to work on it.
She also shared wonderful time management tips and how can the students keep themselves physically and mentally strong.

This important and informative session culminated with suggesting the students to engage in postive self talk, rewarding self and talking about their feelings and fears with adults.
